Our open floor plan can accommodate any event and there is plenty of room for your guests to move around across two boat levels while show casing your latest product. Our staff and management are also highly experienced and super friendly and will go to great lengths to make sure you the Prometheus makes your event a success.
Large, Modern, Open Floor Plan
Prometheus has two large areas for guests on the upper level to enjoy the views. The outdoor deck is has space for 36 guests standing and sitting (hugely popular on a nice day to enjoy the sunshine). The indoor deck also has space for 36 guests standing and sitting. Unlike many boats, these two decks are on the same level and joined by a large open sliding glass doors. Also, unlike many boats, the indoor area is almost entirely surrounded by large windows meaning even when indoors everyone can feel out outdoor vibe.
With these features in mind, you can be confident that all guests that you have invited can be together to mingle, network and see your product displays.
A major refurbishment completed in 2022 makes Prometheus one of the most modern and stylish yachts on Sydney Harbour. The entire interior was replaced with new. Our goal was provide maximum floor space by moving furniture to create what is now a single area. The photo above shows just some of the available floorspace and the open doors. The enormous sunroof above the inside deck can be opened during the day or night making even the indoor area and outdoor area. We are often greated with gasps of delight when people see the sunroof opening !
For product launches the combined open plan areas of the upper deck mean that there is plenty of space for every possible . That includes hosting presentations, giving awards, making speaches as well as more social activities like a dance floor with a onboard DJ if you want that little bit of extra fun !
Night Time Events are epic !
If you would like to have an event then the Prometheus can offer you a next level of options. Our new ultra modern interior is enhanced by RGB lighting that you can choose your own colour scheme. Once again, our new open plan layout provides enough space for everybody to be inside, or outside or both !! The inside deck with the sunroof open is also great fun, especially with a Dj right there as well.
Complete Second Level - Even More Space
PROMETHEUS has two levels. The lower level has three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a large galley (kitchen) and another lounge seating area. This space is available to guests to use as well as a space to store belongings, luggage and so on, keeping the upper deck free and open for people to move around in comfort.
The lower level is bright and inviting thanks to large windows and a surprisingly large skylight
The galley on the lower level is ideal and where we generally setup our buffets. The lower lounge area is also a popular spot for more intimate gatherings of smaller groups.
The lower lounge room is still fairly large we can set that up with corporate displays or product promotion as well.
The three bathrooms are provided for convenience. Each bathroom has a shower, toilet and basin and large mirror.
Dining / Catering Options
On Prometheus you have unlimited catering options. We have a broad range of catering options, including Buffet’s, Gracing Stations or platters. We also have Canape options where each course will be brought around by the staff to all guests.
Unlike many other vessels, we welcome you bringing your own food (and drinks) should you prefer. That includes from any external catering company of your choice. In that situation your are welcome to pre-delivery food (and drinks) the the boat at Pyrmont. Our staff will take care of everything and have them ready for you when you and your guests board the boat. There are no additional charges for you choosing your own food and drinks service.
No matter what type of product you are launching the Prometheus is setup to host an outstanding food service.
Smaller Events
If your product launch is going to be a more intimate and premium affair then the space on Prometheus allows us to offer seated dining for up to 20 guests. We can deliver an absolute fine dining experience, including chef onboard to cook for you just like in a premium restaurant. Of course our buffet menus are also first class and our staff can provide you with table service if you prefer that.
We have done many smaller events where the inside deck is set up for the product being launched (often on display tables) along with video and or audio presentations. The outside deck can be kept for standing cocktails, or as in the picture above, we can set up for seated dining.
Whatever the product, whatever the number of guests, we can tailor the vessel to best showcase your event.
DJ & Lighting
For product launches during the day low key background music from a DJ or musician can add great ambience. For night time events the ambience can be enhances by excellent lighting. The white floors, lounges and ceiling on Prometheus are great canvases upon which custom lighting can be projected. With the sunroof open, lighting can projected into the sky, or with the roof closed, custom video and / or effects are possible.
We also have a 50 inch 4k TV at the front of the room which can be used for rolling presentations or promotion.
If you would prefer your own music, we have a top of the line Bose Sound system with speakers on the upper deck both inside and outside. You can connect your own music device via Bluetooth. The TV connects to the Bose System
Water Toys
During summer Prometheus can also offer some pretty fun water toys for use on those hot days. For a small extra fee, we can install a inflatable pool and inflatable pontoon that extends the fun down to to the water line. The pontoon is perfect for sunbaking or lounging around outside the water, while the (netted) pool is perfect to escape the heat.
Themes, Games and Decorations
To create a unique product launch Prometheus has endless options for interior decorators and event planners to dress up the vessel with your corporate branding or preferred theme.
In addition to those themes we can organise other performers such as live jazz, sax players, singers, bands and so on.
