The Prometheus is ideal venue for photo or video shoots. Whether that be a shoot for a product or service or TV show, movie or other production Prometheus has the unique features to make your event the best it can possibly be. As you will see below, Prometheus is uniquely spacious, modern and stylish. Our open floor plan can accommodate any shoot as there is plenty of room for the talent and crew to move around across the boat two levels. Our staff and management are also highly experienced and super friendly and will go to great lengths to make sure boat delivers everything you need for your shoot.
Large, Modern, Open Floor Plan
Prometheus has two large areas for guests on the upper level to enjoy the views. The outdoor deck is has space for 36 guests standing and sitting (hugely popular on a nice day to enjoy the sunshine). The indoor deck also has space for 36 guests standing and sitting. Unlike many boats, these two decks are on the same level and joined by a large open sliding glass doors. Also, unlike many boats, the indoor area is almost entirely surrounded by large windows meaning even when indoors everyone can feel out outdoor vibe.
In most cases there there will not be a need to host our maximum numbers, but if there is then we have the space.
A major refurbishment completed in 2022 makes Prometheus one of the most modern and stylish yachts on Sydney Harbour. The entire interior was replaced with new. Our goal was provide maximum floor space by moving furniture to create what is now a single area. The photo above shows just some of the available floorspace and the open doors. The enormous sunroof above the inside deck can be opened during the day or night making even the indoor area and outdoor area. We are often greated with gasps of delight when people see the sunroof opening !
The Prometheus’ modern style is ideal for everything from high end fashion, jewelry or the latest electronic devices.
After Dark Scenes
If your product needs after dark footage then Prometheus is next level at night. Our new ultra modern interior is enhanced by RGB lighting. You can even choose your own colour scheme. We can locate the vessel wherever you need to get the right city lights in the background.
Complete Second Level - Even More Space
PROMETHEUS has two levels. The lower level has three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a large galley (kitchen) and another lounge seating area. This space is available to guests to use as well as a space to store belongings, luggage and so on, keeping the upper deck free and open for people to move around in comfort.
The lower level is bright and inviting thanks to large windows and a surprisingly large skylight
The galley on the lower level is ideal and where we generally setup our buffets. The lower lounge area is also a popular spot for more intimate gatherings of smaller groups.
For photo or video production the lower levels are generally used by the production crew for wardrobe. One of the bedrooms can be reserved as a change room for the talent.
Dining / Catering Options
We have a broad range of catering options, including Buffet’s, Gracing Stations or platters. Although not used often for these types of events we also have Canape options where each course will be brought around by the staff to those onboard.
Unlike many other vessels, we welcome you bringing your own food (and drinks) should you prefer. That includes from any external catering company of your choice. This is often preferred when there are special dietary requirements for either the talent or crew.
In that situation your are welcome to pre-delivery food (and drinks) the the boat at Pyrmont. Our staff will take care of everything and have them ready for you when you and your guests board the boat. There are no additional charges for you choosing your own food and drinks service.
Dining Room Option
In some instances, the production would benefit from a scene with a dining room set up. We can setup a dining table for between two and twenty people.
AV Equipement
Generally the production crew will have their own AV equipment. However, should it be required PROMETHEUS has a 50 inch 4k Smart TV on the upper deck with HDMI inputs.
We can pipe music through the boat if you like through top of the line Bose Sound system with speakers on the upper deck both inside and outside. You can connect your own music device via Bluetooth.
Water Toys
Not always used, but depending on the type of production, Prometheus can supply an inflatable pontoon and or an inflatable pool. These could be used for swimwear or other outdoor fashion shoots.
Themes, Games and Decorations
Should the production require, the Prometheus can supply, or our guests can arrange their own extras to be features in the photoshoot of video.
