If you are looking for a unique venue to host a private board meeting or executive meet then the yacht Prometheus could just be the ideal vessel. As you will see below, Prometheus is uniquely spacious, modern and stylish. Our open plan layout gives us the flexibility to set up a mobile corporate office from which you can get your business done. Our staff and management are also highly experienced and super friendly and will go to great lengths to make sure your team is well looked after.
Large, Modern, Open Floor Plan
Prometheus has two large areas for guests on the upper level to enjoy the views. The outdoor deck is has space for 36 guests standing and sitting (hugely popular on a nice day to enjoy the sunshine). The indoor deck also has space for 36 guests standing and sitting. Unlike many boats, these two decks are on the same level and joined by a large open sliding glass doors. Also, unlike many boats, the indoor area is almost entirely surrounded by large windows meaning even when indoors everyone can feel out outdoor vibe.
Although all of this space is unlikely be needed for guests, the space will come in handy to have different areas reserved for different functions.
A major refurbishment completed in 2022 makes Prometheus one of the most modern and stylish yachts on Sydney Harbour. The entire interior was replaced with new. Our goal was provide maximum floor space by moving furniture to create what is now a single area. The photo above shows just some of the available floorspace and the open doors. The enormous sunroof above the inside deck can be opened during the day or night making even the indoor area and outdoor area. We are often greated with gasps of delight when people see the sunroof opening !
The combined open plan areas of the upper deck mean that there is plenty of space for your meetings, networking and so on.
We have a large 50inch 4k tv on the upper deck that can be used for presentations. We can set up a boardroom table on the inner deck so the presentations are easy visible. The space available is also enough to have multiple presentors up at the same time.
Night Time Meetings
Prometheus is often used for in the evening for corporate events by senior management or directors. After work drinks and canapes are a great way of catching up with staff who don’t work in the same offices. Such an informal get together is a great way to set up an environment for collaboration and constructive outcomes.
Complete Second Level - Even More Space
PROMETHEUS has two levels. The lower level has three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a large galley (kitchen) and another lounge seating area. This space is available to guests to use as well as a space to store belongings, luggage and so on, keeping the upper deck free and open for people to move around in comfort.
The lower level is bright and inviting thanks to large windows and a surprisingly large skylight
The galley on the lower level is ideal and where we generally setup our buffets. The lower lounge area is also a popular spot for more intimate gatherings of smaller groups. In the past, we have set up break out rooms on the lower deck when different teams want to have space away from the group.
The lower lounge room is still fairly large we can set that up with corporate displays or product promotion as well.
The bedrooms, are available for guests to store their belongings while on board leaving the main cabins free for the event.
The three bathrooms are provided for convenience. Each bathroom has a shower, toilet, basin and large mirror.
Dining / Catering Options
On Prometheus you have unlimited catering options. We have a broad range of catering options, including Buffet’s, Gracing Stations or platters. We also have Canape options where each course will be brought around by the staff to all guests.
Unlike many other vessels, we welcome you bringing your own food (and drinks) should you prefer. That includes from any external catering company of your choice. In that situation your are welcome to pre-delivery food (and drinks) the the boat at Pyrmont. Our staff will take care of everything and have them ready for you when you and your guests board the boat. There are no additional charges for you choosing your own food and drinks service.
For executive meeting or board meetings, more formal dining options are very popular.
Seated Dining Options
The Prometheus yacht has so much space. It is possible to seat up to 20 guests either indoors or outdoors. Its also possible for us to have a boardroom table set up indoors, while the dining room is set up outside. Whatever the requirement is, we can accomodate.
Audio Visual Facilities
Prometheus has a 50″ 4k TV screen with HDMI inputs. Any laptop with HDMI output can be connected. The TV can also use a USB stick with video content.
The upper deck has premium BOSE Audio throughout the upper deck (indoors and out). If requested we can connect microphones to the system for clear audio throughout the deck. The TV screen is connected to the BOSE System.
Themes, Games and Decorations
Although our board meetings or executive meets are mostly formal affairs, sometimes the nature of the company may dictate a particular theme. Team building game can also be used prior to (or after) the formalities. Laser Clay Shooting is the most popular corporate bonding event we do.
